• Treat other members with kindness, even when correcting an identification or disagreeing.
• Do not post abusive, harassing, discriminatory, threatening or sexually explicit content.
• Do not impersonate another person or organisation.

• Submit only plots, records, photos and stories you honestly believe are accurate.
• Correct mistakes when you notice them. AI identification is only a helper, and members remain responsible for reviewing submissions.
• Do not fabricate sightings, counts, dates, locations or habitat work.

Only post content you created or have permission to share. You keep copyright and ownership. By posting a photo or video to GBPH, you grant GBPH a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, crop, format, display, publish and share it for operating and promoting GBPH, including on the GBPH website, GBPH social media accounts, email newsletters, presentations, press activity and other GBPH promotional communications.

GBPH may add a logo, caption, credit or accessibility description without materially misrepresenting the content. Credit is given where reasonably practical, but is not guaranteed in every format. GBPH will not sell member media as stock content, merchandise it, or license it commercially to an unrelated third party without separate permission.

• Get consent from identifiable adults and never post identifiable children.
• Do not post private information, house numbers, vehicle registrations or somebody else's contact details.
• Do not publish precise nesting, roosting or other sensitive-species locations where disclosure could cause disturbance, collection or harm.

• Do not post spam, repetitive promotions, scams or unrelated advertising.
• Do not use GBPH to pressure members, harvest contact details or make unsolicited commercial approaches.

Report a public plot, record, photo or story using its report option, which opens our Contact Us form with only the content type and public ID. You can also use our Contact Us form.

GBPH may remove content, limit access, suspend an account or terminate membership where a breach is serious or repeated. Action will be proportionate to the concern. Where practical and safe, GBPH will explain the reason. To appeal or complain, use the same form with the relevant public ID and your reasons.
