Draft for owner review
This document is a plain English working draft. It has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor and must be legally reviewed before any payments are taken from members. It is not legal advice.
Effective date: to be confirmed.
We keep this deliberately short, because we keep the cookies themselves deliberately few.
1. Essential cookies only
GBPH currently uses only essential cookies and local browser storage needed to sign you in and keep you signed in, provided by our hosted backend provider. Without these, you could not stay logged in between pages.
2. No advertising or analytics cookies
We do not currently use advertising cookies, tracking pixels or analytics cookies. If the owner decides to add analytics or advertising in future, this policy will be updated first and, where required by law, you will be asked for consent before any non-essential cookie is set.
3. Third party map tiles
- The national map loads map tiles from a third party mapping service so we can display streets and terrain.
- Loading these tiles means your browser makes a request to that third party, which may see your IP address as part of normal web traffic, in the same way any embedded map works.
- We do not control the third party's own cookie practices.
4. Managing cookies
You can clear cookies and site data at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of GBPH, but will not delete your account or your data.
5. Questions
If you have questions about this policy, please email hello@gbph.co.uk.
This draft is written in plain English and is not a substitute for formal legal advice. It must be reviewed and approved by the owner, and checked against relevant law, before GBPH takes any payments from members.
